All the way from Ireland

I think I am in love with all the great wallpapers available right now. It was only five years ago that I was in Design school, and had a dislike for all wallpaper. Now there are so many beautiful wall papers, I would have a hard time choosing just one! Even if you just wallpaper you closet, I have changed my opinion entirely! Isn't this Kitchen fabulous? I love the green chairs, and the two toned stairs!{I didn't rhyme on purpose} This designer has one numerous awards in Ireland.

I want one, or two or three...

At pizzeria 712 they serve cold water to you in the coolest glass bottles. I think they are the coolest thing since sliced bread! So we looked on the bottom{because we are detectives} They are made by IKEA... Awesome, so I did some research, and they only sell them in the UK. I have not given up yet, I am determined to add these beauties to my collection!
Anyone making a trip to the UK anytime soon? I will pay you to pick three of these up for me!

I love Date Night

Friday night was Date Night, we had a babysitter(grandma this time) And overnight too! Even better! I have been wanting to go to Pizzeria Seven Twelve, I was a bit worried (for Jamie, not me) because it is definitely a foodie type place. He loved it as much as I did. The food was fantastic! We loved the Butter lettuce salad with radish and blue cheese, braised short rib with polenta and horseradish cream, and the "in house"fresh pulled mozzarella pizza with fresh basil. The restaurant was cozy and full to capacity as any good place should be..

The verdict: if you like good fresh food, this is the best we have found in Utah County!

Check out their website HERE!
Afterwards, we went to see Fast and the Furious {Jamie's choice} I didn't mind, because I was still thinking about the food!

A beautiful day

It was perfect, the tulips were blooming, the weather was warm but not too warm...
Ryan explored..
There were bridges,
and secret gardens and doors...

and lots and lots of Tulips......

Grassy fields to run on ....

and roll on....

and I was happy too, because it was serene...

We fed the fish.........

and smiled lots...

and we were very very happy...
The END

Upholstered Headboard 101

I was reading one of my favorite Blogs Pink Wallpaper. I have been wanting to make an upholstered headboard for our King Size Bed. She gives a quick tutorial to Here. It seems easy enough. The project is very affordable, unless you are like me,and always pick out the most expensive fabric!

A Memorable 60th Birthday

I am so sorry that I have not shared my Dad's 60th Surprise Party with you. We pulled it off with a snap! It was so much fun, Here are a few details.....

He was so surprised and I caught the moment on camera!

Every Party needs a good drink, we made one called "The Larry" A sparkling cranberry and lime mixture! We even served it with umbrella straws!

The Menu was simple, we wanted to include our Dad's favorite foods, so we served Fresh Fruit, Shrimp Cocktail, BBQ Tri -Tip, Terriaki Chicken, Rice, Mixed Baby Greens with Balsalmic, Chocolate Baby Bunt Cakes, Strawberry Short Cakes, and Chocolate Dipped Macaroons. It was perfect, and Beautiful!

The most important part of any party is the guests. I know by Dad was touched by those who came out to Celebrate, His Brother and Sister, Mission Friends, High school friends, and those from his old Neighborhood and New. Even a few people from California surprised us!
My mom was so happy!
Everyone was asked to dress in Hawaiian attire!
We are blessed with great friends!

I don't have pictures but our friend "T" brought his ukulele and played the Huki Lau, and there was some dancing!
Ryan especially liked the balloons, and we made sure to get 60!

Chocolate Eggs Revisited

As I will be enjoying the beach on Easter this year, I will not be making these real chocolate eggs this Easter. But in Honor of April here is a flash-back! They take some time but, they are worth it! And wouldn't your little chocolate lovers love a couple of these in their Easter baskets?
