Almost one whole week of being under the weather. Stuck inside, Ryan has been a sickie too.. I have started feeling a bit better and need to to something creative. Poor Ryan has been stuck with a sick {slightly grumpy} mom all week, and the guilt has started to set in. He has watched Meet the Robinson's at least 25 times. So yesterday we made banana bread, and play doh. {the play doh was the best becuase I was able to supervise him whilst laying on the sofa.}

These are a few things I look forward to this week, after a week down anything sounds like lots of fun...

10: Go to the Gym every day. I think I should have my energy back by Tomorrow.

9: Make these adorable valentines with Ryan and hang them by our front window

8: GO OUTSIDE {We are SOOO stir crazy) Jamie tried to get us out of the house on Sat night. He felt bad for us sickies. So we tried to go to a quick dinner, it ended right after we got our food and Ryan vomited 3 times.... So much for pretending ....

7: Play date Thurs {one we plan to make}

6. My favorite part of valentines day Cinnamon hearts! Put these in my heart shaped bowl!

5. Deep clean and sanitize everything!

4. Plan a romantic date with Jamie one that includes dressing up, I need to feel like I wear more then a pink robe..

3. Painting my toes, I know its winter but it will make me feel better...

2. Make two new recipes for dinner

1. Do something for someone else, no more wallowing in self pity, I'm done!

Please go away

Sick bug that has bothered me now for two days. I have had to cancel play dates, and dinner group, because you have attacked me so bitterly. My nose is red and my body aches. I am an accomplish-er of nothing. {Except I am hopeful to lose a few pounds because I have no appetite }

I really want to post about my fun day out with the girls on Sat, and my evening out last Thurs with friends. I want to post about the cute cardigan I found online today....

Maybe Tomorrow....

ANTI- AGING

It has only been Three years! That's right three years, and I keep thinking what in the world is happening? I am Aging....That's right aging, my skin is not pretty and tan-ish {I guess tanning salons may have helped a bit} but my skin glowed I swear it did. I had less blemishes, and less hormones, and I wore less makeup, because I didn't need it. I keep thinking to myself what the freak happened?

I had a baby, and with that came all sorts of new changes, I have more beauty marks, freckles {moles would be another word} did that happen to anyone else? Sorry to be so open, but seriously, anyone know a good dermatologist? {heaven help me}

I might have to go tanning just a couple of times and see if it helps. A couple of times should do it, lift my spirits.... Although now I fear after one session I will get skin cancer, I am more educated now....

I am 30 years old, I deserve 10 more years of youthful skin. I spent 1+ hours this morning plucking eyebrows and such. I can't stand it! I might need to throw the 5x magnified mirror away because I swear it lies to me.... my pores are not that big... no way.... OMG what is that?

Did I mention that my Right eye twitches sometimes? {stress related I think} and I think my eyebrows are falling out...
{I told Hubby that all I want is a chemical peel, liposuction, tummy tuck, breast enhancement,zoom whitening, personal trainer and organic chef} That's all..... He scoffed at me. How dare he?

And then I came back down to earth.....

For now I will just have to exfoliate and moisturize.................. and drink lots and lots of water

Wasting my life away...

And trust me you will get sucked in too! This Blog is addicting... warning addicting! Because we all can relate in some way. Why? Because we are girls that's why. And well you are my friends, and I know you, you will love this blog! CLICK HERE! To read this story you must start from the beginning, or you will ruin it! And you may not agree but this is way better then TWILIGHT, any day! It's like watching the hills{I am addicted}, it's like romantic crack....you won't be disappointed!

Update

I have nothing profound to share nor do I have exciting news.. I am busy working for my dear father with whom I am working with on a new business. We hope for great success, { and more money = better life, don't judge me, I know you all are thinking it too} I have been busy at my computer doing anything but blogging, and so I have been itching to post. Its my joy, my outlet, my blog.

I do have a few things to look forward to, like getting together with some friends on Thurs, and a fun day planned on Saturday. I visited Orson GyGi's yesterday, and that always puts me in a good mood. I bought a huge long wooden spoon because I lost mine over the holidays.

On a lighter note { and no I will not be posting a picture} I stuck my finger in my immersion blender, and it HURT! I don't know how I somehow turned in on {you can cringe here}. So I have a huge band aid on my finger,and I feel incomplete and handicapped...

To Do- Clean House, drink a protein shake, Play Group for Ryan, Nurse Finger, Work

Not to Do- Watch MTV Bromance{ really don't waste your time lame}, snack on anything with carbs or sugar, get caught up on face book, spend money, stay in PJ's all day

I want to repaint my Kitchen chairs in bright fun colors. It would be fun way to change up your room and inexpensive too!

Furniture Painting Tip
Before updating or touching up a chair or small, lightweight table, elevate it over the work surface by gently tapping a nail into the bottom of each leg. The legs will get better air circulation for drying and won't stick to the surface.

What a great idea

Jordan at Oh Happy Day has so many great ides. But this one I love best! For Christmas she made her Husband a Leisure book. What is a Leisure book you ask? It is a notebook filled with things to do in your leisure time.

I often feel like I waste my "me" time. I love attending festivals, shows, exhibits or reading a book a friend recommended. In your own leisure book you file away all the books you want to read, old and new movies you want to see, places you want to go, music you should download or whatever your hearts desire. How fun is that? Then when you are saying to yourself , I don't know what "we" or "I" should do, you pull out your book, and there you have it, options! Isn't that so great?

It is such a great gift idea. Here is the link to her post
I love this idea of a chalkboard kitchen wall, it makes it seem casual and stylish. Like a fun cafe, and I think I would really enjoy this look. I will defintly bookmark this idea, so clever!

Anderson Family Pastime

BOWLING one day last week we went bowling with my family
We are very competitive, only for fun,my Mom always wins, although the first game I lost by only one point! and we even have our own signs for strikes and spares! It's a fun way to do something together and still get out of the house on a snowy day!

{Ryan likes it too, but for different reasons, pretending to play video games, and eating french fries with lots of ketchup, and its always nice to have his aunites there to spoil him, and sometimes fetch him when he escapes}

Whats for dinner tonight?

Since our vacation apparently I have been starving my husband. I have been eating healthy and that means I have no desire to cook things I cannot eat. Why would I do that to myself ? As a foodie I think it is torture to cook and smell a good meal and not eat it.

But Jamie has made his complaint {mentioning how Turkey sandwiches just don't do it for him} and I have reconciled to making dinner again like any loving wife should do. He works out in that cold and dismal weather, as I stay mostly warm inside our home.{i should do something nice right?}

He is a comfort food kind of guy, so today I have resolutioned myself to make a dinner I wont be eating. Well at least not much more than a taste! And both my boys will be warm and happy!

COUNTRY CHICKEN POT PIE

1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp minced garlic
¼ tsp onion salt
¼ tsp black pepper

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup frozen green peas
\1/2 cup sliced celery
1 can cream of chicken condensed
½ tsp celery seed
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 can (14oz) chicken broth

1 pie crust{I used frozen but you can make yours)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Chicken:
In a skillet, place oil, minced garlic, onion salt, black pepper, and 1 lb chicken which has been cubed.
Cook on medium to high heat until cooked through. Using skillet from the chicken, add carrots, celery, and onion. Pour in enough broth to cover the vegetables. Set left over broth aside for future use.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
In a bowl combine chicken, carrots, onion, celery, frozen peas, condensed soup, celery seed, pepper, salt, garlic powder. Add left over chicken broth until the desired consistency is reached.
Lightly grease a 9”x9“dish. {i use a vintage pink glass pie dish} Place mixture in bottom. Place crust on top and brush with egg whites or butter.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

This is really good! And easy! Give it a try! And foe Dessert Peanut Butter cookies with a Kiss in the middle his absolute favorite!

The Newly Wed Diaries and a Little Inspiration

Oh how I needed some great design inspiration today. What would I do without the Blogging world? How easy it is to find great design. It makes me happy, feel current and forget about my un-inspirational and still cozy home. {i am not complaining, just looking forward to doing exactly what i want someday} I envy those of you not struck by the current economical situation. But never the less many of you know where I am coming from,and it's good to take a step back and reduce spending and count your blessings.

Here is something to cheer you up! I love this house , and Thanks to The Newly Wed Diaries Blog for sharing it!

This grey bedroom surprised me, I usually don't appreciate shades of grey, but this room is done so well.

Tone on tone pretty

I love white and I love these shelves! Cake plates too!

Design Envy

This would be such a great space, so cheery! I think I (I mean james my handy husband) could install the peg board paint it and you have a great backdrop for your desk or in this case a wrapping station. {note the fun light fixture}
